I'm a Sydney-based photographer specialising in agriculture, industry, food and beverage, people and portraiture.
My photography is very much defined by its raw authenticity, capturing subjects the way in which they present themselves. I think it's important to develop your own style, for me it's about images that relate, that tap into our own experiences and emotions.
In that context, when I'm taking portraits, I'm looking for that glint in the eye, expressions and characteristics of an intrinsic or unique quality. In the same vein, landscapes that capture the mood and condition of their surroundings or food as we experience it, personal and intimate, almost like you can taste it!
I guess this is more of a creative ethos but it underscores my approach to commercial work.
When I'm not working in my studio, I'm often travelling interstate or to regional parts of Australia producing photography for a range of clients big and small, including national food companies and producers, hospitality groups, award-winning restaurants and cafes alike, paddock to plate food chain operations, agri-business, industry and portraiture for the corporate sector.
